Kingswinford 2nd XI 0 vs Streetly 2nd XI 4
A tough game in cold,
foggy conditions saw Streetly dominate possession for much of
the first half with Kingswinford struggling to clear their lines
from free hits and sixteens. Streetly created many good chances
from open play but the breakthrough came from a penalty corner
when Jake Shephard deflected a shot from Jason Truman past the
stranded keeper. 1-0 up at half time Streetly knew they needed
more goals to ensure victory. More excellent play from the
Streetly midfield saw chances created and eventually a fine
strike from Dave Hopkins following a neat reverse pass from
Mitch Corden put them 2-0 up.
Hopkins made it 3-0
soon after from a penalty corner strike and Jake Shephard bagged
his second of the match from close range to wrap up the game for
Streetly. Seven games unbeaten leaves Streetly in a good
position to challenge for promotion this season.
