Saturday 1st November 2008 Old Wolves 4th XI 2 –
Streetly 4th XI 6 The opening period of this fixture was
finely balanced with opportunities falling to both sides. It was
clear that the first goal would be key, and it fell to Streetly
when Adrian Lacey converted from a James Walters cross. Streetly then settled and further goals
followed quickly. Bryce Strathdee cleverly set up James Walters
for the first of a second half hat trick. Jack Kelly added to
Streetly’s tally with an excellent finish from a midfield
manoeuvre created by Elliot Bailey. Old Wolves showed plenty of resolve to beat
excellent keeper Mitchell Thomas however Streetly finished the
stronger of the two sides with Don Perks adding a further goal
in the final minute.
