Streetly 3 - 0 Kidderminster
Streetlys’ unbeaten start to the season continued with a 3-0 victory over Kidderminster. Streetly began well, working the ball round patiently and testing the visitors goalkeeper at regular intervals. The deadlock was broken mid way through the half with Mitch Corden in the right place at the right time to sweep home the only goal of the half after good work by Sam Bates.
The second half started with more of the same with the home side continuing to pressure there opponents without increasing there lead. With 15mins to go however and a couple of useful substitutions Streetly did manage to put the game to rest with Moore’s fine scoring run continuing after more good work from bates and then youngster James Maguire finishing a well worked move from forwards, Newton and Corden to make the final score 3-0.

Streetly 8-0 Ludlow
Streetlys 1st team men continued their confident start to the season with an 8-0 thrashing of bottom of the table Ludlow. Streetly were by no means at their best throughout the whole of the game starting slowly, and, on another day, could quite easily have been 2down after 15minutes had it not been for debutant goalie, Alex Shaw starting confidently. After surviving these early scares Streetly briefly clicked into gear and took the lead through Luke Windsor who celebrated his recent Great Britain Police Hockey selection with a trademark penalty corner.
Sam Bates provided Corden to reverse stick home at the second attempt to make it 2-0 with James Youngman scoring his first and Streetlys third after good work by Moore. Streetlys fourth came courtesy of Booth, finishing a great move involving Moore and Windsor. Matt Bates scored Streetlys fifth just before half time, from another Sreetly penalty corner. Sam Bates created the sixth for Moore to convert straight after the restart with Booth again on hand to fire home and make it 7-0. The captain then turned provider for the final goal of the game, Youngman completing his brace leaving the final score 8-0.

Streetly 2 - 2 Old Sills
Scorers :- Matt Bates, Craig Moore
Streetly Missed will have to wait another week to confirm there promotion from West Midlands Division 1 after earning a scrappy point against a good Old Sills outfit. At half time the score was 1-1. With Streetlys’ scorer being Craig Moore, who reacted quickest to a bouncing ball into the d to fire home from close range. Streetly regained the lead through a superb reverse stick strike from Matt Bates latching onto a fine cross field ball from Luke Windsor. However Streetly could not hold onto the lead as Old sills scored late on to earn a well earned point.

EHA National Hockey Vase Quarter Final
Streetly 3 -5 Plaschet H.C
Scorers :- Sam Bates 2, Mitch Corden 1
Streetly’s Fine cup run came to disappointing end as they lost to Plaschet hockey club 5-3 at Streetly School. Streetly began brightly and would easily have been several goals ahead after the opening few minutes had it not been for the Plaschet goalkeeper who was in fine form to deny Corden. To make matters worse, the visitors scored with there first attack, a well worked penalty corner, one of 3 goals well worked from set pieces. A fine solo finish made the score 2-0 before Streetly finally found the net, with Sam Bates finishing after quick thinking from Chris Booth caught the opposition off guard from a free hit. Plaschet however took a two goal advantage into the half time break with another well worked short corner.
A fired up Streetly came out well again in the 2nd half, with the Plaschet keeper still on top form to deny good Streetly chances. It was the away side yet again though who managed to score again taking advantage of some fortuitous breaks to make it 4-1. Streetly did not Lie down though and in a devastating spell of pressure scored 2 goals in 5minutes. Sam Bates smashed home a Penalty Corner and then Mitch Corden converted Keith Booths first time cross. As Streetly pressed for the equaliser, Plaschet were awarded a penalty flick much to the annoyance of the Streetly crowd and players, which was coolly put away by the Plaschet forward which was a goal to far for the Young Streetly side to come back from.

Streetly 7-0 Bromsgrove
Streetly produced a sensational performance to destroy there opponents Bromsgrove and maintain there undefeated start to the season. Streetly were quick off the mark with Windsor scoring a penalty corner. Streetlys 2nd again came from a penalty corner; Corden tapping in after booths shot was saved. Moore maintained his goal a game record to make it 3-0 going into half time, slotting home a Corden assist. Booth deflected in Curtis’s pass for Streetlys 4th. Goal of the match though had to go to debutant James Waters, capping a fine debut with a delightful reverse stick strike, beating the keeper from the narrowest of angles to make it 5-0. Streetly then shut out the game well and the scoring finished at 7-0 Brothers Matt and Sam Bates opening there league accounts with the respective assists going to Moore and Matt Bates.

Streetly 8-0 Sunderland
Streetly's goal scoring weekend continued on Sunday giving visitors Sunderland a trip to the midlands they will hope to forget. Streetly took the lead in under a minute with Windsor firing home Streetlys’ first penalty corner. The home side were soon 2 and 3-0 up going into half time with Sam Bates finishing emphatically after a good one two with Booth and Windsor bagging his 2nd of the game from close range finishing a good move from the forward line. Streetly did not step off the gas as they looked to kill the game and pressed home there advantage Corden made it 4 and Windsor setting up Moore to make it 5-0. Corden got his 2nd and Streetlys 6th with influential captain Booth the provider. Streetlys 7th was started and finished by Moore, finishing neatly after great interchange work with Sam Bates. Corden completed his hat trick and Booth the man of the match award, Streetlys captain threading the ball through for corden to fire home and make it 8-0! Things could have been worse for the travelling side had Windsor also taken his chance of a well deserved hat trick but unfortunately his penalty flick was well saved by the Sunderland Goal Keeper.
